The Rescue Level™ is Juliedoo's classification of project risk. Not a traffic light. Not a RAG status. A precise, four-tier framework that defines what the signals mean, what they require, and what the right response looks like.
What Is the Rescue Level™?
A classification, not a score.
The Rescue Score™ measures project health across ten dimensions. The Rescue Level™ classifies the urgency of the situation — and determines the type of intervention that is appropriate. A project can have a low Rescue Score and a high Rescue Level. The Level is the clinical judgment. The Score is the evidence behind it.
Early Warning
Rescue Score 60–100
AdvisoryThe signals are present. The project is not yet in danger.
A Level 1 project is showing early warning signals — schedule pressure, budget variance, communication gaps — but the situation is being managed. The project team is active. The executive team is receiving updates. An independent view at this stage is the most cost-effective form of assurance.
What it means
The signals are worth monitoring. An independent view is advisable — not urgent.
Intervention
Monitoring and early assessment. The Rescue Check is appropriate at this level.
At Risk
Rescue Score 40–59
RecommendedThe project is showing structural signals. An independent view will establish the full picture.
A Level 2 project has moved beyond isolated early warnings. Patterns are emerging across multiple dimensions. The executive team is receiving updates, but the full picture may not yet be visible at the top. An independent assessment at this stage creates clarity — and options.
What it means
The project would benefit from an independent assessment. An external perspective will establish what the internal view cannot.
Intervention
Independent assessment and Rescue Plan. A Juliedoo engagement is appropriate at this level.
Rescue Required
Rescue Score 20–39
UrgentThe signals are significant. Independent intervention will establish the path forward.
A Level 3 project is showing significant, compounding signals across multiple dimensions. The executive team needs a complete, independent picture — and a clear action plan — to make the decisions that will determine the project's outcome. Time is the critical variable: the earlier the intervention, the more options remain available.
What it means
Every week without an independent assessment reduces the options available. The decision to act should not be deferred.
Intervention
Immediate Juliedoo engagement. Rapid Project Rescue is the appropriate path.
Critical
Rescue Score 0–19
CriticalThe situation requires immediate, senior-level independent assessment.
A Level 4 result indicates significant warning signals in this framework. The executive team may need to consider urgent decisions about the project, team, vendor and organisation. An independent assessment can provide an additional evidence base, but it is not a substitute for executive, legal or professional advice.

The situation requires immediate, senior-level independent intervention. The Complex Project Rescue engagement is the appropriate path.

How the Rescue Level™ Is Determined
Not self-assessed. Independently assigned.
The Rescue Level™ is assigned by Juliedoo specialists as part of a full engagement — based on the Rescue Score™, the document analysis, the expert review, and the independent professional judgment of the team. It is not a self-assessment tool. The Rescue Check provides an indicative level — but the definitive Rescue Level™ is an engagement deliverable.

Rescue Score™
A quantitative measure of project health across ten dimensions. Expressed as a number from 0 to 100.
Rescue Level™
A qualitative classification of risk urgency. Expressed as a level from 1 to 4. Determines the intervention type.
Together, the Score and the Level give the executive the complete picture: how healthy the project is, and how urgently it needs to be addressed.
