Every community I help plan should have a center on site with practical support: help with job applications and interviews, job training and placement, medical, dental and vision care, a hairdresser, childcare, education for children and adults, and self-defense classes for women and children.
A vice president once called me a bridge builder. In my own neighborhood, people call me ‘the mayor’, because they come to me when they need help. That is the role I want to play in these projects.
